Some items must not be included in your checked baggage: fragile items such as glasses, foodstuffs, perishable items, items of a special value, such as money, keys, prescribed medicine, negotiable papers, securities or other valuables, business documents, passports and other identification documents, or samples, jewellery, precious metals, electronic/electrical devices, such as cameras, computers, mobile phones and musical instruments.
Please note that the baggage allowance for passengers travelling together cannot be pooled, except family or passengers included in the same booking.
DANGEROUS GOODS IN CHECKED BAGGAGE
Certain items are strictly prohibited in checked luggage due to safety risks. These include explosives, ammunition, fireworks, flammable substances, gases such as butane or oxygen, corrosives, toxic materials, and specialized items like alarm-equipped security briefcases.
Some materials, such as limited amounts of aerosols, dry ice, or alcoholic beverages may be permitted, but only under strict regulations.
Strictly Prohibited in Checked Baggage
- Explosives and Incendiaries: ammunition, blasting caps, fireworks, flares, and related devices.
- Flammable Materials: lighter fuel, paints, matches, solvents, and other combustible substances.
- Compressed Gases: flammable, non-flammable, and toxic gases, including oxygen, propane, and refrigerants.
- Corrosives: acids, alkalis, mercury, wet cell batteries.
- Toxins and Infectious Substances: pesticides, insecticides, weed-killers, live virus cultures.
- Other Hazardous Items: briefcases with alarm systems, stun guns, and some self-balancing transport devices (e.g., hoverboards).
Allowed With Restrictions
- Lithium Batteries: devices with built-in batteries above 160 Wh are not allowed; spare or loose batteries have strict capacity limits.
- Dry Ice: permitted in small amounts for perishable goods, with correct labeling and packaging for CO2 release.
- Aerosols: only toiletry and medicinal aerosols are allowed, within regulated quantity limits.
- Alcohol: beverages between 24%–70% ABV are allowed in containers of up to 5 liters each, with a maximum of 5 liters per passenger.
